CYNTAX: RECEIPTS IN, MONTHLY PACKAGE OUT.
CynTax is our own receipt software for Austrian businesses of any size, from sole traders to limited companies (GmbH). You upload receipts; the system sorts them, assigns them and matches them against the bank account. At month end you download a finished package for your tax adviser. CynTax is currently in the pilot phase; access is by invitation code.
NOT THE TAX ADVICE – THE WORK BEFORE IT
CynTax does not replace a tax adviser. It takes over the work that comes before the hand-over to the firm.
Receipt chaos at month end: invoices and receipts have to be collected and sorted before they go to the tax adviser.
The firm enters receipts one by one instead of just reviewing a finished package.
Debits on the bank account have no receipt – and often that is lost input tax.
Working out what is still missing or unclear, and chasing it, is left to you.
OUR OWN PRODUCT
FROM RECEIPT
TO MONTHLY PACKAGE.
Only a few steps a month are left to you: upload receipts, confirm suggestions, pass on the package. Everything in between is handled by the system, and it lets you know when something is missing.
- Upload receipts: an invoice or receipt as a photo in the app or as a PDF – for iPhone and Android in Austria, on the web on any device.
- Generate a suggestion: the system reads the receipt and suggests business partner, amount, VAT treatment and account.
- Match with the bank: the system assigns the receipt to the matching bank transaction and shows what is still missing or unclear.
- Questions instead of searching: if something about a receipt is unclear, CynTax asks you a short question and applies your answer immediately.
- Monthly package for the tax adviser: an import file for the firm's accounting software (BMD), a monthly report and a list of open items. The firm needs no account of its own and no additional software.
- Connect AI assistants: you decide per assistant what it may do, and every request is logged. An assistant cannot delete data or trigger payments.

WHO DOES WHAT
Three roles, clearly separated: the AI suggests, you confirm, your tax adviser decides. Every AI output is a suggestion – not a booking and not a binding tax assessment.
The AI suggests
Reads uploaded receipts, recognises business partners, amounts, VAT treatment and an account suggestion, and summarises anything unusual in a report at month end.
You confirm
You review and confirm suggestions, clear up open questions and decide when the monthly package goes to your tax adviser. The original of every receipt is kept unchanged.
Your tax adviser decides
The annual accounts and every binding tax assessment stay with your tax adviser. CynTax does not post bookings itself and does not replace a tax adviser.
Read-only bank connection
Balances and transactions are retrieved via finAPI on a read-only basis. You make payments yourself through your own bank; the system shows a payment suggestion but does not transfer money itself.
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOUR PROJECT
AI with clear limits. In CynTax the AI suggests and a person confirms; what the software does not do is stated openly on the product site. This separation between suggestion and decision is the standard we build AI features to.
Fits existing workflows. CynTax asks the tax adviser for neither an account nor extra software – it delivers a package with an import file for the firm's accounting software. That is how new software should fit into a business: by connecting to what already runs.
Open about where it stands. CynTax is in the pilot phase, and we say so openly. We say what a system can do today instead of promising a finished product.
